November Performance Overview

The New York State Gaming Commission has reported financial figures for both sports betting and commercial casino slot real money gaming during the month of November in the state.

Record-Breaking Month For Mobile Sports Betting

During the month of November, which of course included Thanksgiving, when NFL games on the day receive high viewership, total gross gaming revenue (GGR) for mobile sports betting was $231.6m, showing growth of 53.5% year-on-year.

This total was also the highest figure seen​ іn the state for mobile sports betting since the market first went live​ іn January 2022, with the previous high recorded​ іn January 2024 when GGR was $211.5m.

Handle was the second-highest ever seen​ іn the state,​ at $2.27bn, which​ іs down from October’s record handle​ оf $2.32bn, but 7.4% higher than November 2023.

FanDuel Leads Mobile Betting Market

FanDuel led the way when looking at the individual operators when it came to both handle, at $921.2m, and GGR, at $102.6m.

Commercial Casino GGR Rises In November

Meanwhile, for the Empire State’s four commercial casinos, total GGR reached $56.9m during the month of November, representing a 5.1% rise year-on-year, with Rivers Casino and Resort bringing the highest total at $17.8m.

Slots And Table Games Drive Revenue

As would be expected, the largest chunk of total GGR came from slots and electronic gaming terminals, which brought in $40.3m, while table game GGR was valued just under $15m and poker tables were $954,211. Sports wagering GGR, meanwhile, was $639,773.

Revenue And Tax Figures

Total net revenue which went to operators during the month was $43.1m with the gaming tax set at $13.7m.

Macau’s GGR Also Sees Growth

In other big results news this week, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has reported Macau’s GGR for November, showing a 14.9% increase compared to November 2023.
